Burscough Parish Council

Welcome»

Burscough is a thriving community located by the Leeds to Liverpool Canal on the A59, and is home to Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre. In recent years there has been an exciting programme of regeneration including refurbishment of The Wharf, a major part of our canal heritage.

The town has two main railway stations; Burscough Bridge has a bus interchange and offers services to Southport, Wigan and Manchester. Burscough Junction is on the Ormskirk to Preston route.

Olympic Flame to Visit Burscough on 1st June 2012»

The relay starts at Rowan Close at approx 8.45 am and should reach the Lion pub at 9.02 am.  Don't miss this historic event!  Volunteers are needed to help steward the route - if you can help, please call Brian Bailey (01704) 894557 or email Stephen.Kent@westlancs.gov.uk
